If you thought memento mori was hot, this sequel will burn you alive! The folks that brewed the first devilishly designed 32-level conversion found inspiration for a sequel, one that's more friendly to single-player action. Many players of the first memento mori were a tad overwhelmed by its emphasis on coop play design. The sequel is much more playable, but no less deadly in places.
The new graphics are still gorgeous, with many of the same textures you loved the first time around and a few new ones to keep you guessing. The only glitches seem to be an initial crashing bug that can be fixed by also loading the Mac-only memento mori WAD patch (included with this issue of MDR). There is also a crashing error on Level 15, but it only seems to happen when you try to save a game. So, if you can get through without a save, you're home free, right? Good luck!
The only thing that gives more action than memento mori 2 is Final Doom's Plutonia Experiment. At this writing, I have not played all of TMT's new Realm of Chaos conversion, so I can't say how it compares. Tune in next month! This WAD will keep you busy in the meantime.
